During 1980 we did more studies at the Bible College of NZ in Henderson. After that until 2005 we worked with the UMM (United Maori Mission) in Kaikohe. During that time we also had a committee organizing Training Days for BIS (Bible in Schools) Teachers mainly in Kerikeri. Amongst the Teachers we had S. Comrie from the Churches Education Commission. H. Dickie from Children’s Bible Ministries and A. Ramsbottom from Scripture Union. At Eastertime and for Christmas I ordered sometimes 3 000 special leaflets from the Bible Society to take to the different Schools. Used to teach Religious Education at Kaikohe West School, Ohaeawai, Moerewa, Rawene.

The Bible Teachers who went into the Schools had stories to tell, experiences with the children. Even at that time I thought they need to be collected and put into a book. I am now in contact with the convenors from the Churches Education Commission nationwide asking them to help collect stories for the book.
