Das ist nun eine Frage, an der wir alle interessiert sind. Ich auch. Da werden wir zum Beispiel aufgefordert, jetzt unsere Zukunft wachsen zu lassen, indem wir unser Geld in der Baumwirtschaft investieren. Da sagt sogar eine Computerschule nicht nur vertrauen Sie uns ihre Zukunft an, sondern sie sagt sogar, vertrauen Sie uns ihr Leben an. Dasselbe sagt auch eine Schule, die Koeche ausbildet. Diese Schulen wollen die Verantwortung fuer unsere Ausbildung uebernehmen.
Da ich ein gewisses Alter habe, kann ich bei McDonald’s, die ja weltbekannt sind, eine Tasse Kaffe umsonst erhalten, ohne irgend etwas anderes zu bestellen. Da liegt eine Zeitung aus bei McDonald’s, die ‘Kaffee-Nachrichten’ heisst. Nur ein kleines Blatt, zwei Seiten. Da fand ich nun eine Anzeige auf der einen Seite, die sagt, dass Quacksalber uns unser Schicksal vorhersagen wollen in diesem Augenblick mit einer besonderen Auslegung. Wir koennen ihnen Klarheit geben, wir koennen ihnen Wegweisung geben , wir koennen ihnen wirksame Einsichten in ihre Zukunft geben, wird da behauptet.
Werden Sie eine besondere Person treffen? Und so weiter und so fort. Aber was ueber der ganzen letztgenannten Anzeige steht, hat mich natuerlich auch interessiert. Da steht naemlich: Dies geht Leute an, die lieben wollen und geliebt werden wollen. Interessant, nicht wahr?
Und das ist richtig. Zu einem harmonischen Leben gehoert, dass man jemand liebt und von jemandem geliebt wird. Schon lange ist es gesagt worden: Es gibt viele Schaetze, aber der groesste Schatz ist die Liebe. Auch las ich vor langer Zeit, dass jedes Kaeseblatt ein Horoskop hat. Und als ich mir die andere Seite von ‘Kafee-Nachrichten’ ansah, hiess es da wirklich: Dein woechentliches Horoskop!.
Wir haben nun ein wenig gesehen, was andere ueber unsere Zukunft schreiben und wir merken auch, dass sie an unserer Zukunft interessiert sind.
Lassen Sie sich nun auch sagen, dass Gott an unserer Zukunft interessiert ist. Er sagt so in der Bibel. Und alle anderen Blaetter und Meinungen ueber unsere Zukunft werden vergehen. Aber die Bibel bleibt ewig. Matthaeus 24:35 sagt folgendes:” Himmel und Erde werden vergehen, meine Worte aber werden nimmermehr vergehen.” (Matthew 24:35) In der Bibel heisst es im Johannes -Evangelium Kapitel 3 Vers 16:” Denn so sehr hat Gott die Welt geliebt, dass er seinen einzigen Sohn hingegeben hat, damit alle, de an ihn glauben, nicht verloren gehen, sondern ewiges Leben haben.” (John 3:16)
Der Herr Jesus Chritsus ist eine besondere Person. Er ist der Sohn Gottes und der Heiland der Welt. Er liebt uns und wir muessen ihn lieben und dann haben wir eine ewige ZUKUNFT bei ihm.

As it happened he parked his car in front of the courthouse in Kaikohe, got out of the car and while we were both crossing the road I called after him,” Sir, are you a Christian?” His answer was in the affirmative. I inquired further,” How do I know that you are a Christian? Have a guess!” He replied,” I don’t know off hand.” I saw in his face that he was a bit at a loss for an answer. As this man was a complete stranger to me I did not want to keep him in suspense unnecessarily and said to him,” I know because I saw an ALPHA sticker on the back of your car.”
Most of you I am sure are familiar with the ALPHA Course run by Churches. One man I knew ran a course like this and people came to the Lord through the event.
But back to my man in front of the courthouse.
As we went along on the footpath a bright smile came to his face. He was a
middle aged man. A very pleasant man indeed.
Upon my question where he was from his answer was,” From Kerikeri.” I suspected already that he was not from Kaikohe. Further I asked him,” Are you born again?” “Yes,” was his quick reply. I gave him a clap on his right shoulder and said, “Praise the Lord!”
We both kept on walking and smiling and then parted company. I think he had business at the courthouse and I went along my way in the direction to the warehouse in Kaikohe.

It was in Whangaparaoa at the Plaza, at the Pacific Plaza. I love that place. What was Woolworth once upon a time is now Foodtown. In the bakery I discovered German Black Forest cake. I love that cake, bought a piece and was going to eat it straight away after paying of course. But I did not have a fork to eat it with. I mentioned that to the lady who sold me the cake. She said,” Forks are for sale over there!” “Yes,” I said,” I know, but then I have to buy a whole packet and I need only one.” ” I get you one,” she said without hesitation.
I walked out of foodtown fully occupied with thinking about her kindness and dreaming about it but at the same time groping for the $ 5,00 note in my back pocket for payment. I had left the shop already ( must have been ten steps passed the checkout) when I remembered that I had forgotten to pay.
Back I went to the checkout and laughingly I told about my mishap and said,” I could have kept on walking without paying. But I would have had a sleepless night because of my bad conscience. You must loose a lot of stuff.” They agreed. “But we are doing our best watching for thieves”, was the reply. They thanked me for coming back. I finsihed off by saying,” We all need more of the Fear of the Lord!” Ecclesiastes 12:13
