I looked into the big window of the local book shop. When my eyes caught the big writing on some of the many greeting cards, I was immediately interested in what I read:

“TRUST IN YOURSELF”

“KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF…”

Wrong teaching wrong living! But I have been taught correctly. The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;….” (Proverbs 3:5) The Bible says also, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)

Of course humanism is “the rejection of religion in favour of a belief in the advancement of humanity by its own efforts.” That’s what the Collins Concise Dictionary says.

When are we going to learn, that we are dependant beings and that God is the only one who is selfexistent?
