Amos 3:6
When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble?
When disaster comes to a city, has not the Lord CAUSED it?
Are there any Theologians?
Is the Lord causing disasters?

HABAKKUK 3:17
(Habakkuk 3:17)
THOUGH THE FIG TREE DOES NOT BUD
AND THERE ARE NO GRAPES ON THE VINES,
THOUGH THE OLIVE CROP FAILES
AND THE FIELDS PRODUCE NO FOOD,
THOUGH THERE ARE NO SHEEP IN THE PEN
AND NO CATTLE IN THE STALLS,
YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD,
I WILL BE JOYFUL IN GOD MY SAVIOR.
Open Real Estate magazines or papers and you can read about the Future. It goes like this: “Investment with Future Options” or “A house with a Future…. Your Future” or “Have you an eye to the Future?”
A very good question and I will answer it. Yes, I have an eye to the Future. I am looking forward to the Future with great joy. Most people don’t look forward to the Future. In fact they are dreading the Future.
We are often told that in order to look forward to the Future with anticipation and not with apprehension, we must spend time designing our Future, we must plan our Future.
Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ! He has designed and planned a FUTURE for me and I am really excited about the Future he has planned for me. Because the Future he has for me is not only for this life but also for the life to come.

While paying bills in town today I was told about the death of a prominent man here in town.
“We must be ready all the time,” I said after some moments of silence and continued,” Are you going to Church?” The answser was, “No.”
At the end of our conversation I said, ” Next time I am going to give you some of the tracts I have written.”

“A GOOD HEART IS WORTH GOLD.” — Shakespeare
I saw that written on the front of a card for Father’s Day.
THE BIBLE: Jeremiah 17:9
NIV: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” The “Amplified Bible” has in brackets the following verses after Jeremiah 17:9: [ Mark 7:21-23; Ephesians 4:20-24; Matthew 13:15-17]
I was surprised today to read the following inside a card for Father’s Day: “Hoping all the happiness you’ve given others returns to you on your special day.”
And still another surprise: A registered psychologist -Sara Chatwin- is writing in the Family Health Diary Magazine July/August 08, ” Be kind to someone, somewhere, once a day. What you give out will come straight back to you!”
It will actually return. It says so in the Bible, the Word of the Living God! Also this morning I read in one devotional book Proverbs 11:25 “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” Spurgeon says, “Here we are taught the great lesson, that to get, we must give.” He finishes with a verse from Luke, Luke 6:38. That is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ speaking!
WHAT A LESSON!
