I was attracted again by the posters in the Paper Plus shop windows yesterday in the morning. On the posters you can read: “MY books, My stationery, My store, my booksale, my stationery choices.”
It reminded me of my devotional reading in the morning.
C.H. Spurgeon explains the verse Psalm 27:1 where we also find the word MY. The psalmist says “MY light, MY Salvation.” Psalm 27:1 reads: “The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”
The people who wrote the psalms are rejoicing again and again about their personal relationship with God. That’s why they can say: “MY God…”
I was really glad to read this in the local paper on the front page (The Northland Age) also yesterday: ” GOOD HOPE IN KAITAIA The non-denominational, evangelical ministry focused on introducing people to a relationship with Jesus Christ , a ministry spokesperson said yesterday.”
In Psalm 18:2 David says,”… ; my God is my rock,…”
In Psalm 18:28 he says, “..; my God turns my darknss into light.”
David in Psalm 40:8 again,”I desire to do your will, O my God ;….”
And we could carry on like this for a long time.
I am also rejoicing that my God is my rock and that my God turns my darkness into light. And I also want to say with David, “I desire to do your will, O my God;…”
