3. For by him all things were created:

b. on earth,

c. visible and

d . invisible,

e. whether thrones or

f. powers or

g. rulers or

h. authorities;

4. all things were created for him.

5. He is before all things, and

6. in him all things hold together.

7. And he is the head of the body, the church;

8. he is the beginning and

9. the firstborn from the dead,

End: so that in everything he might have the supremacy.”
