How do we make practical use of the promises of God?

Before I went to Thailand from Germany in 1966 I had to apply for a visa. On the visa was written, that it had to be utilized before a certain date in December 1966. After that date it was no longer valid.

I utilized my visa for Thailand before that certain date and was able to spend time in Thailand as a missionary for thirteen years.

Just now we are living in the time of  grace. It is now the time of grace for all of us. We don’t even need to apply for the time of grace . It is there just now for all of us. All we need to do is utilize the time of grace. Our time of grace must also be utilized before a certain date…. Unfortunately we don’t know the date, because we don’t know the time when we are going to die.

The following definition of grace is well know. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense! We are utilizing  our time of grace by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

From the time we are believing in the Lord Jesus Christ the Bible, the Word of the Living God, becomes alive for us and the promises in the Bible become also alive for us.

And this is actually what I was going to write about:

HOW DO WE UTILIZE THE MANY PROMISES IN THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD?

For example the beautiful promise in Psalm 68:19

“Praise be to the Lord,

to God our Savior,

who daily bears our burdens.”
