“…nothing is left but life,…”
“Let the moment come when nothing is left but life, and you will find that you do not hesitate over the fate of material possessions.” – Eddie Rickenbacker
Sermon Outline: O.T. (N.I.V.)
“For I resolved to know
nothing while I was with you
except Jesus Christ and him
crucified.”
First Corinthians 2:2

“I AM THE LORD.
(Leviticus 26:2-13)
Intr.:
If you follow my decrees and
are careful to obey my commands,
***************************
1. I will send you rain in its season, and
2. the ground will yield its crops and
3. the trees of the field their fruit.
4. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and
5. the grape harvest will continue until planting, and
6. you will eat all the food you want and
7. live in safety in your land.
8. I will grant peace in the land, and
9. you will lie down and
10. no one will make you afraid.
11. I will remove savage beasts from the land, and
12. the sword will not pass through your country.
13. You will pursue your enemies, and
14. they will fall by the sword before you.
PART TWO
15. Five of you will chase a hundred, and
16. a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and
17. your enemies will fall by the sword before you.
18. I will look on you with favour and
19. make you fruitful and
20. increase your numbers, and
21. I will keep my covenant with you.
22. You will still be eating last year’s harvest
23. when you will have to move it out to make room for new.
24. I will put my dwelling place among you, and
25. I will not abhor you.
26. I will walk among you and
27. be your God, and
28. you will be my people.
*****************
End:
I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD,
—–who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians;
—–I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with your heads held high.”
“….from COVER TO COVER,….”
“I have just read your first issue ( November 2010) from cover to cover, and was very impressed with the easy reading – …..”
That’s how one letter to the editor of the magazine WITH COMPLIMENTS starts.
The writer of the letter was impressed with the magazine.
The editor was impressed with the letter. That’s why the writer of the letter became the winner of the November 2010 WITH COMPLEMENTS best letter award. ( A copy of The Essential Guide to Vitamins, Minerals and Herbal Supplements by Dr Sarah Brewer)
I am also impressed with the letter. Why?
I like people who read publications (magazines, books) from cover to cover.
I like especially people who are reading the BIBLE from COVER TO COVER.
HAVE YOU EVER READ THE BIBLE FROM COVER TO COVER?
Do you have trouble remembering the names of people?
Let’s remember what Dale Carnegie famously said,
“A person’s name is to him or her the sweetest and most important sound in any language.”
“‘…..I SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH A DICTIONARY,’ HE SAYS.”
“‘……I spend a lot of time with a dictionary,’ he says.”
“FOCUS” is a magazine published by The Northland Age.
In the March 2011 issue Kate Shuttleworth is writing, “A 13-year-old boy from Moerewa with a gift for word-recall could be the next New Zealand National Spelling champion.”
The name of the boy is Rankin.
In the article I read, “Rankin says there’s no real secret to becoming a great speller, ‘I JUST FIND WORDS EASY AND I SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH A DICTIONARY,’ he says.”
HAS EVER SOMEONE SAID TO YOU, “I SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH A (MY) BIBLE?”
In the same issue (FOCUS, March 2011) is also and article called “Steps to end shonky building practices”.
Do we have shonky doctrines in the churches, because we don’t spend a lot of time with the BIBLE?
