“Driftaway” was written on the big campervan I saw today in Kaitaia.
You have heard about a fixed course or a fixed point. Drifting is to wander away from our fixed course or our fixed point. To drift is to stray.
How is it now possible not to drift away?

The Bible says that we must pay more careful attention to what we have heard.
Hebrews 2:1 says, “We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”
What have we heard. We have heard so many things. Have you heard John 3:16? “‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.'”
What do you think? Are there many people in New Zealand who have not heard the Gospel? Are there many people in New Zealand who have not heard that they can be saved?
The Bible teaches about salvation. Have you heard about that salvation?
The Bible asks us this question:
“….., how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?”
Who announced the salvation? The Lord announced it. Who confirmed the salvation to us? The salvation was confirmed to us by those who heard him. Who testified to the salvation? God testified to it. How? By signs, by wonders, by various miracles. By “gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.”
