“DEATH NOTICES INDEX” I am reading in the old paper. (The New Zealand Herald, Friday, January 27, 2012, page B12).

In order to get organised we are writing our appointments into our appointment calendars. For many years already I am making my own appointment calendar. One important appointment for tomorrow in my calendar is: Take car into garage for Warrant of Fitness and Service!

But let us always remember, that our last appointment is written for us by our creator. In the “Death Notices Index” at the beginning 29 people are neatly listed in alphabetical order. The surnames are written in bold letters.
“And just as it is appointed for [all] men once to die and after that the [certain] judgment,…” – Hebrews 9:27
We don’t know when our creator is writing our last appointment. It could be any time. It could be even today! The Bible says in Amos 4:12 “‘Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.'”
I am prepared! Are you ready to meet God? Remember the judgment!
