TIME

“Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.” – Earl of Chesterfield

“FITNESS FEVER….”

“FITNESS FEVER –  bargains for every body”,  I am reading once on the front-page and twice on the back-page of the current “thewarehouse” mailer. On another page of the mailer it says, “Fitness Fever – fantastic value on fitness equipment!” “20-50 % OFF A Huge Range of Fitness Equipment”, on the front-page again!

We want our body to be fit.

But what about our soul?  We must not forget our soul! Is our soul fit? Is our soul fit to go to heaven?

We must not only care for our body. We must also care for the soul and the spirit. The Bible teaches that we have three parts, namely body, soul and spirit. Click on First Thessalonians 5:23 and Hebrews 4:12!

The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to redeem the soul of man. It says in Hebrews 10:39 “But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” (Authorized Version)

Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Is your soul fit to go to heaven?

The Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 16:26 “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can  a man give in exchange for his soul?”

WAR CRY GIVEAWAY

WAR CRY GIVEAWAY

To be in to win a copy of Called to Preach, tell us what you think makes a great sermon.

I wrote:

Great sermons are prepared by “architects”, “muddlers” are hard to listen to; but also great “architects” must realise that “the communicating agent of the Gospel is the Holy Spirit”.

OBEDIENCE!

Zum Leben in der Kraft des Heiligen Geistes gehoert das innere Achten und Hoeren auf  ihn, ebenso der Gehorsam das Gehoerte zu leben.” – Peter Strauch

No need to tell you that the above quote by Peter Strauch is in German. I am not going to translate the quote for you but by the time you have finished reading this entry you have a fairly good idea what he is saying.

I am really excited!

I received a letter this morning and the letter started with Peter Strauch’s quote. He is actually saying in that quote what has beed on my mind for a long time and is still very much on my mind at the present time and will always be on my mind!

He is telling us what is necessary to live in the power of the Holy Spirit.

He is mentioning three things, namely:

1. We must have deep respect for God the Holy Spirit. We must think highly of God the Holy Spirit.

2. We must listen to God the Holy Spirit.

3. We must be obedient to what we have heard and we must live it.

As true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ we have deep respect for God the Holy Spirit and we think highly of God the Holy Spirit. And we are willing to listen to the Holy Spirit.

BUT how obedient are we to what we have heard and know already? BUT are we living what we have heard and know already?

At times I want to tell myself:

STOP READING!

STOP WRITING!

BE OBEDIENT TO WHAT YOU KNOW ALREADY!!
