“If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you started.” – Marcus Garvey
“It is ever the Holy Spirit’s work to turn our eyes away from self to Jesus; but Satan’s work is just the opposite of this, for…” – C. H. Spurgeon
This morning I attended a seminar on UNDERSTANDING EPILEPSY.
COVERING –
What is Epilepsy, causes of epilepsy, recognition of seizure types, managing seizures, seizure triggers, recording seizures, principles of anti-epileptic medication, life style issues , etc.
That’s what it says on the certificate I received at the end of the seminar.
“Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.”
That said a little poster I saw today in our big shop here in KAITAIA that sells books and stationery.
There are many textbooks and I have studied a good number during my lifetime in German, English and Thai, but I have learned that there is but one textbook and that is the BIBLE.
The author of the Bible is God the Holy Spirit.
What is the source book of our knowledge of God? It is the Bible! What is the textbook of divine truth? It is the Bible! What is the guide book to everlasting life? It is the Bible! What is the oldest book in existence? It is the Bible!
And this is very important:
I believe what Alban Douglas writes in his book ONE HUNDRED BIBLE LESSONS on page 91:
“THE BIBLE DOES NOT CONTAIN THE WORD OF GOD; THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD.”
My treasure will follow me into eternity, because “‘HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY, ‘” says the Lord Jesus Christ. You can read that in the BIBLE in the gospel of Matthew, chapter six, verse thirtyfive.
“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing is the wrong thing; and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” – Theodore Roosevelt
