“On a hill far away, …”

P1220117

This cross reminds me of the hymn:

“On a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suff’ring and shame;

and I love that old cross where the dearest and best for a world of lost sinners was slain.”

The author and composer of this hymn is George Bennard, who lived from 1873-1958.
