SHARE

“If you know a Tom, share a Coke with Tom. If you know a Sophie, share a Coke with Sophie.”

I am reading that inside a shop in Ahipara. (Ahipara is 14 km from Kaitaia.)

We are encouraged to share. We are encouraged to share a Coke. We are also encouraged to share the road.

I want to encourage you also. I want to encourage you to share the GOSPEL. I want to encourage you to share the GOSPEL with people you know and with people you do not know.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

The Gospel is the good news. The Gospel is the good news about God’s love. The Gospel is the good news about God’s love in providing a Saviour.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” – Romans 1:16

THE GOSPEL PROCLAIMS

that Christ died for our sins – First Corinthians 15:3.

That He rose for our justification – Romans 4:25

That His grace can save – Titus 2:11

That His Blood can cleanse – First John 1:7

That His power can keep – First Peter 1:4

That His Spirit can enable – Acts 1:8

That His joy can cause us happiness and contentment – John 15:11

That His peace can make us calm – John 14:27

That He himself can fulfil all our needs – Philippians 3:7-9

It was only yesterday in Ahipare that I had the opportunity to tell three people  about my belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. They were from Austria and Switzerland and local. I did not know the people at all. It was my first meeting with them.

And today I met someone for the first time and it was my privilege to share the Gospel with that person for quite some time in our new library.
