“They came to Jerusalem, with harps and lyres and trumpets, to the house of the LORD.” – Second Chronicles 20:28

King Jehoshaphat was afraid, because they came against him in battle, not only the Moabites and the Ammonites, but also some of the Meunites.

But he did three things:

First of all he set himself to seek help from the LORD.

Secondly he stood before the LORD and prayed.

Thirdly he bowed his head with his face to the ground.

Being a good leader, the inhabitants of Jerusalem followed him and did the same.

Yes, they did all that, but finally they praised the LORD and sang to the LORD.

And then it happened …. Second Chronicles 20:22 says, “And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, …”

We are also in a battle. Many things are coming against us. What must we do? We must praise the LORD!

“SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Kuaka embark on one of the longest migrations known among birds. They breed in Alaska and spend their summer in New Zealand fattening up for their next-haul flight.”

“Their journey is an incredible 11,680km. From New Zealand they head up to the Chinese coast. They refuel for a few weeks, and continue on to their northern breeding grounds. When  winter approaches they fly non-stop across the Pacific Ocean back to New Zealand.”

“The flight path of the kuaka helped guide the first Polynesian settlers to New Zealand.”

“10 Great Reasons to Read”

“Read to make good decisions,” is only one of the ten great reasons to read.

"10 Great Reasons To Read"

“10 Great Reasons To Read”

Let me tell you about two good decisions I made in my life.

Decision Number ONE:

In my early life I decided to become a missionary.

Decision Number TWO:

I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and I decided to get married to a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Why  did I make those two good decisions? Because my guidebook is the BIBLE, the Word of God.

The Bible says in Mark 16:15 “‘Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.'”

And in Second Corinthians 6:15 the Bible says “What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?”

I want to close with Matthew 6:33, where it says “But seek first his kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.”
