TIME

“If you don’t have time to pray & read scriptures, you are busier than God ever intended you to be,” it says on the first page of a church newsletter.

TIME TO PRAY

Have I lost you already? I hope not!

"JESUS GOD'S GIFT 2 U"

“JESUS
GOD’S GIFT
2 U”

Please listen carefully to this prayer quote:

“I never prayed sincerely for anything but it came, at some time … somehow, in some shape,”

says Adoniram  Judson.

All I know about Adoniram Judson at the present time is that he was a missionary in Burma. But I want to find out more about him. We can probably say, “I never prayed sincerely for anything,” but can we say, “but it came, at some time … somehow, in some shape?”

And please listen to what Martin Luther said, “I have so much to do (today) that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.”

Not long ago I finished reading the book REALITAETEN by M. Basilea Schlink.  You find already two posts about the book on this blog. I think I am going to read the book again!

James writes in James 5:16 “… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” But you have heard that again and again!

TIME TO READ SCRIPTURES

From my own experience I know that we cannot understand the Bible (properly), unless we know the author of the Scriptures and the author of the Bible  is God the Holy Spirit. If you don’t have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ the Bible is like any other book.

From my own experience I know also about the struggle I had to read the Bible from cover to cover, every word, like any other book. Then a miracle happened in my life, the year came when I read the Bible twice from cover to cover within one year.

Don’t be busier than God intended you to be, take time to pray and read the Bible.
