“WHICH PATH TO TAKE?”

“Which path to take?” it says in the Canterbury & Christchurch Visitor Guide 2015 (AA Traveller).

“Check out these paths,” and “Well – Worn Path,” I am reading on other pages in the same Guide.

In Christchurch I am encouraged to check out the following paths:

There is the Latters Spur track from the PORT HILLS summit.

OTUKAIKINO WALK is another short trek and takes only half an hour.

BOTTLE LAKE FOREST PARK has several walking tracks.

Recreational walks can be made in HALSWELL QUARRY PARK. It is a 60.4 ha park.

THE GROYNES is not only a place with walking tracks and picnic areas, but there is also a dog exercise park. That is the ideal place for families.

There is also a beach with walking tracks called SUMNER.

I have been to Christchurch, but it is only now that I am reading about those paths.

Just as we are are on a physical journey we are also on a spiritual journey.

Which path to take, when it comes to our spiritual journey? And this is now really important.

Here is the answer of the Psalmist. We find his answer in Psalm 119:32:

“I run the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.”

He is not walking on his path, he is running. Why is he running? Because his heart is set free!
