“Live in the sunshine.”
I am reading that encouragement on a balloon while looking into a shop window here in town.
The fact is that I am actually living in the sunshine. Gladly I am going to tell you how I do that.
On the balloon it says also “look good” and “feel better”.
In the Bible, in Psalm 84:11, we read that God Himself is a sun. What does that mean? It means two things. He is the source of spiritual light and gladness
The Bible tells us in Matthew 17:2 about the transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ. There we are told that the face of the Lord Jesus Christ is compared to the shining sun.
In Revelation 1:16 the face of the Lord appeared to John in Patmos “as the sun shineth in his strength”.
In Malachi 4:2 we are told that the “Sun of righteousness” will arise with healing in His rays for them that fear God. We understand that the expression “Sun of righteousness” is referring to the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bible declares also that the glory of God the Father and God the Son is greater and more enduring than the sunlight (Isaiah 24:23, 60:19; Acts 26:13).
I believe what the Bible says.
The SUN, the star that is the source of the heat and light for our planet earth in our solar system is far away and does not shine all the time on me, but the “Sun of righteousness” shines all the time and is near.
I am living in the sunshine all the time.
