“THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE”

Reading the article “The best day of my life” in the April 2011 Reader’s Digest made me think about the best day of my life.

My best day was THE DAY I was born for a second time.

Many things are happening when a sinner accepts the Lord Jesus Christ, believes on the Lord, but I was only conscious of great happiness, great joy.

Great Joy

Great Joy

The Bible became alive for me all of a sudden, and was no longer like any other book.

I possessed eternal life, and I knew it. I believed what it says in First John 5:13. There it says:

“I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life.”

Someone said that actually 38 things happened the moment a sinner accepted Christ, things in relation to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, in relation to sin , to satan and others.

I am still alive, but I know that there will not be a better day in my life than the day in September many many years ago when the Lord Jesus Christ entered my life.

Bird’s – Eye View

Viewing the whole.

When viewing any of the Epistles in the Bible in a piecemeal manner we must not be surprised when we are encountering difficulties.

When we are viewing any Epistle in the Bible without analysis, without classification, we cannot understand the various parts.

But when we are looking at any letter in the Bible as a whole, trying to get a bird’s – eye view, we do understand.

STRONG FAMILIES

werner-150x150-e1367980712224What a blessing it is for children to know that they belong to something bigger than themselves, is pointed out to the readers in the article called THE STORIES THAT BIND US in the October 2013 Reader’s Digest on page 62.

When do they know that? The children know that when they are diligently taught the history of their FAMILIES.

They are more resilient, better at facing challenges and they are happier. They thrive.

That are the findings of psychologists and leaders in sociology.

The Bible teaches in Joel 1:3: “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.”

What are we supposed to tell? Let us find out. In Psalm 78:4 it says, “We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.”

Let us also look what it says in Exodus 10:2: “‘that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that they may know that I am the LORD.'”

Can I point out to you what a blessing it is to belong to the church of God, the FAMILY of God?

And all those  who belong to the family of God belong of course to God. No need to tell you that.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

"THE BOOK OF BOOKS"

“THE BOOK OF BOOKS”

“If all you can see are your Credit Card expenses talk to us today,” says the big poster at one of our banks here in Kaitaia. You can see the poster through the window.

What does THE BOOK OF BOOKS say?

In Romans 13:8 the Bible says: “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, …”

In Proverbs 15:27 the Bible says: “A greedy man brings trouble to his family, …”

Luke 12:15: “Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on you guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.'”

Find a Bible and  read also what the Word of God says in Colossians 3:5.

I think it is because I have seen long ago what the Bible teaches and talked to the Lord Jesus Christ for the first time long ago, that I do not need to talk to anyone about my Credit Card expenses.

I have no Credit Card expenses.
