“God’s mercy is so great that you may sooner drain the sea of its water, or deprive the sun of its light, or make space too narrow, than diminish the great mercy of God.” – C. H. Spurgeon
STORIES
What kind of stories are we writing? What kind of stories are we living?
There are stories which lift us up and there are stories which drag us down.
In the publication Living on the edge in these last days, Issue 3, 2015, I find two stories on page 72, one after the other.
“SALVATION ARMY AND ROME TOGETHER.”
“The Salvation Army was never theologically sound in some areas, and it has long capitulated to the siren of ecumenism.”
“RACE CAR LEGEND PREACHES HELLFIRE AT NATIONAL BREAKFAST.”
“As the keynote speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast, race car champion Darrell Waltrip preached that every person who dies without Jesus Christ goes to hell. The NESCAR Legend gave his testimony of salvation before a crowd of 4,000, including President and Mrs. Obama and the Dalai Lama.
Let us dwell on stories which lift us up and not drag us down, and let us watch what kind of stories we are living!
BOOKS
I am still reading the book THE GLORIOUS DAWN OF GOD’S STORY by Anne Graham Lotz.
On page 68 she says:
“Sin
destroyed or relationship with God through guiltiness.
It destroys our relationship with others through lovelessness.
It destroys our relationship with ourselves through meaninglessness.”
