CATERPILLAR / BUTTERFLY

CATERPILLAR

CATERPILLAR

“See that creeping worm, how contemptible its appearance! It is the beginning of a thing.” – C. H. Spurgeon

BUTTERFLY

BUTTERFLY

“Mark that insect with the gorgeous wings, playing in the sunbeams, sipping at the flower bells, full of happiness and life; that is the end thereof.” – C. H. Spurgeon

“THAT CATERPILLAR IS YOU, UNTIL YOU ARE WRAPPED UP IN THE CHRYSALIS OF DEATH; BUT WHEN CHRIST SHALL APPEAR YOU SHALL BE LIKE HIM, FOR YOU SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS.” – C. H. Spurgeon

“THESE STRANGE ASHES”

werner-150x150-e1367980712224“‘No one will lay it down before having finished reading it,'” it says on the back cover of the book I have read just now. That says Harold Lindsell from Christianity Today about the book.

The book is called: “THESE STRANGE ASHES,” by Elisabeth Elliot. And again I say that the best books in our house  are second – hand. This one has even the marks of a coffee cup on the front cover. Russell T. Hitt from Eternity says about the book: “‘A sensitive probing into the mysteries of knowing and accepting God’s will …. Elisabeth Elliot’s greatest literary achievement.'”

I hope to read the book again. It has 132 pages.

After reading the book I agree with what Harold Lindsell says about the book that “‘No one will lay it down before having finished reading it.'”
