“Wairakei Power Station uses steam extracted from the geothermal fluid produced in this steam field to generate electricity. Initial investigations and exploratory wells in this steam field were undertaken in the 1950’s. There have been more than 200 wells drilled in this steam field and there are approximately 60 wells currently in production.”

“Wells up to 2000 metres deep tap into zones of hot fluid, at temperatures of 230 – 260 degrees C. When the fluid reaches the surface it is separated at the wellhead into dry steam and hot water in a cyclone separator.”

“The hot water is either collected and piped to secondary ‘flash’ separators at a Flash Plant, where additional dry steam is produced at lower pressure, or reduced to atmospheric pressure in well head silencers. The residual hot water is either piped to the Binary Power Plant at the power station, to reinjection wells on the steam field perimeter or discharged to open drains.”

“Around 1400 tonnes per hour of steam is produced in the field and transmitted to the power station through insulated pipelines varying in diameter from 300 to 1200 mm. Steam travels at about 200kph in the pipelines.”

“Many of these Steam wells have been in production since the power station was commissioned in 1958 generating renewable steam and sustainable energy.”

EYES

Notes taken from, “Licht vom unerschoepften Lichte” by Wilhelm Busch.

“DO YOU HAVE EYES OF FLESH? DO YOU SEE AS A MORTAL SEES?”  (Job 10:4)

Sometimes we think that God has eyes of flesh, and that God sees as a mortal sees.

A. Jonah 1 – 4: (Psalm 139:5)

JONAH

Jonah thought that God had eyes of flesh. That’s why he fled from the living God. We can hide from the eyes of people, but not from the eyes of God. God can see everything. What does it say in Psalm 139:5? There it says, ” You hem me in – behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.” Read more of Psalm 139, especially the verses at the beginning.

B. Acts 5:1-11

ANANIAS AN SAPPHIRA

Ananias and Sapphira thought the same. They brought a gift to God, but they did it in a way to gain glory from people. They were not quite honest in the way they did it. People may not see our dishonesty, but the Lord does.

C. Luke 19:1-10

ZACCHAEUS THE TAX COLLECTOR

YOU CAN SEE BETTER FROM A TREE

YOU CAN SEE BETTER FROM A TREE

Zacchaeus experienced that God does not see as a mortal sees. He climbed a tree to see Jesus. He had a bad conscience. Nobody saw what was going on in his heart, but the Lord knew . What did the Lord say to him? Read Luke 19:5!

D. John 5:1-15

THE HEALING AT THE POOL

The sick man at the pool experienced that God does not see as a mortal sees. 38 years he had been lying there. Nobody bothered about him. Nobody took notice of him in his little corner. But the merciful eyes of the Lord discovered him and the Lord asked him, “‘Do you want to get well?'”

God does not have  eyes of flesh. He does not see as a mortal sees.

“PEACE OF MIND”

About  “peace of mind” I read today when filling in the form to hold our mail at the Post Office. For a small fee customers can rest assured that their mail won’t be left to pile in their mailboxes while away from home.

And it just ‘happened’ that I read more about peace today.

Holiday at the beach

Holiday at the beach

At the moment I am studying sermons by D. M. Lloyd-Jones on ROMANS.

In Romans 1:7 the Apostle Paul says to the Christians in Rome, “Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

I am learning that GRACE is kindness, favour, good-will from God. The GRACE of God leads to PEACE. Believers enjoy the peace of God. In Romans 5:1 the Apostle Paul says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, …”

This afternoon I took the application form to the Post Office to put the Hold service in place for me.

I am over 65 years old and the service is free for me.
