SIGNS
That signs themselves do not create safety it says in a column in our local paper, The Northland Age, Thursday, March 10, 2016)
The signs mentioned are the advisory signs the Far North District Council has put up near schools to enforce lower speed zones outside schools.
Seeing more signs on our footpaths recently reminded me of the column in the newspaper. The signs on the footpaths say: No scooters, no skateboards, no bikes on the footpaths.
Just as signs themselves do not create safety, signs themselves do not keep people with scooters, skateboards and bikes off the footpaths. ( I see that myself and I have also been told.)
Obedience to the law of the land and obedience to the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ does all that.
