“This card is late”

My birthday was quite some time ago. But only recently I received a birthday card with the following writing:

“THIS CARD IS LATE!

UNLIKE YOUR PRESENT WHICH ISN’T COMING AT ALL

ANYWAY, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY.”

I really like the card and it will be  displayed in my “office” for quite some time.

It is good to know that starting the day RIGHT seems to be important to people.

Mangonui on the East Coast of Northland

I noticed that again yesterday when I visited Mangonui on the East Coast of Northland. In a shop I saw displayed the following message on a sign:

“TIME IN THE GARDEN STARTS MY DAY OFF RIGHT.”

I had a good look at the beautiful made placard, but gardening is not my thing and it was quite expensive.

Starting the day off right is in fact very important to me also. Time reading the Bible and Praying starts my day off right.

READING THE BIBLE

This morning I read Deuteronomy chapter 28. The chapter is rather long. It has 68 verses and it speaks about the “Blessing of Obedience” and the “Curses of Disobedience”. I like especially Deuteronomy 28:43 and 44.

PRAYING

An old born again believer was once asked, “How come, that you are always so full of joy day after day?” He answered, “I will tell you my secret. Every morning when I wake up, I pray to the Lord and thank him that he has bought me with his blood. And I thank him that I belong to him.”

I don’t know what your message is to start our days off right, but my message is to start our days with the Lord Jesus Christ.
