“For I am the LORD, who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)
Just now I turned to Exodus chapter 15 and read the verses 25 and 26.
All of a sudden I noticed four words in a special way. The words are “listen” and “do” and the words are “pay attention” and “keep”. I hope you are opening your Bible and find those words in your Bible.
THE WORDS “LISTEN” AND “DO” GO TOGETHER:
First of all listening.
It says here listen carefully. So let us listen carefully. Listening carefully to the VOICE OF THE LORD, OUR GOD:
What is now the answer to the question, “How do I recognise the voice of the LORD?” Someone gave this answer, “Don’t you recognise the voice of your Father?”
Secondly doing what is right in the eyes of the LORD.
Is it not so that in order to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord we must listen to his voice?
THE WORDS “PAY ATTENTION” AND “KEEP” GO TOGETHER:
First of all paying attention.
Paying attention to his COMMANDS.
Secondly keeping.
Keeping his DECREES.
We find the commands and decrees of the Lord in the Bible. The author of the Bible is the God the Holy Spirit and in Matthew 24:35 it says:
“HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL PASS AWAY, BUT MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY.”
And what is written on the cover of “THE BOOK OF BOOKS”? “HOLY BIBLE!” I read there!
If we do all that, then the Lord promises: “For I am the LORD, who heals you.”
