“People reaching people,” was written on the plastic shopping bag from the post shop I saw yesterday on our kitchen table.
There are many reasons why people are reaching people.
What is now the most important reason?
People reaching people with the GOSPEL is the most important reason.
There are 4 GOSPELS in our Bible and in all 4 we find THE GREAT COMMISSION:
Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:14-18; Luke 24:44-49; John 20:19-23.
Notice also that we find THE GREAT COMMISSION at the end of the GOSPELS.
And what does it say in Acts 1:8?
“‘But you will receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in JERUSALEM and in all JUDEA and SAMARIA and to the END OF THE EARTH.'”
The Missionary Society WEC International says, “reaching people, planting churches, mobilising mission.” It says also: “Spreading the GOSPEL where it is thinnest”.
“People reaching people.”
Is the Lord calling you to a place where the GOSPEL is thinnest, or where there are people who are so far unreached?
