The book I am reading just now I picked up second-hand.
It is a blessing to read this book

“The LORD is my light …”
That is the question on “The 2017 New Zealand of the year awards” pamphlet, I picked up today at our local Post Office, when I paid one of our bills.
I like to answer questions like that.
In the BIBLE the Lord Jesus Christ says, “‘YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH.'” You find that in Matthew 5:13.
He says also, “‘YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.”‘ That is written in Matthew 5:14.
And here is what it says in Matthew 5:16 (THE AMPLIFIED BIBLE): “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble and good deeds, and recognize and honor and praise your Father who is in heaven.”
The true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ make not only this country a better place, but they are also making the whole world a better place.
