“He [a believer] can say, ‘If I should lose all I have, it is better that I should lose than have, if God so wills: the worst calamity is the wisest and the kindest thing that could befall me if God ordains it.'” – C. H. Spurgeon

Quote

“They spend more time in analysing, in collecting materials, and in hard thinking than on prayer, on seeking God’s mind, and on waiting for the power from above.” – Watchman Nee

Inspiration – from where?

“Time magazine says Harry Potter books give their readers social, moral and political inspiration!” says the cartoon in our local paper today. (The Northland Age, Tuesday, August 2, 2016)

I don’t know the source of your inspiration, but I know the source of my inspiration; the source of my inspiration is the BIBLE.

‘IN HEAVENLY PLACES’

"AN EXPOSITION OF EPHESIANS ONE"

“AN EXPOSITION OF EPHESIANS ONE”

This time of the year – August – here in New Zealand is the time to do some serious study. The weather is not all that pleasant and it is better inside than outside. (So far today we have had rain for most of the day, and when it comes down it comes down.)

That’s why I  took the exposition of Ephesians ONE by D M Lloyd-Jones from my book shelf not only to read it but to study it and to make notes as well.

Have you ever wondered about the expression ‘in heavenly places’ in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians? Well, D M Lloyd-Jones explains it on pages 62 and 63.

I really feel that I am understanding the exposition and that I am making progress spiritually by reading the sermons by this teacher of the Scriptures.
