What do we really need?
FREEDOM was the theme at Tuesday’s Anzac Day service here in Kaitaia.
At the civic service the poem FREEDOM by American Army veteran Charles M Province was quoted.
In the poem we read about the freedoms the soldier has given us.
By giving his blood, his body, his life, the soldier has given us freedom of the press; he has given us freedom of speech, and he has given us freedom to demonstrate. My father served also in the war and gave his life.
But let me tell you what we really need.
We need FREEDOM from sin.
The Lord Jesus Christ has given us freedom from sin. Revelation 1:5 says:
“TO HIM WHO LOVES US AND HAS FREED US FROM OUR SINS BY HIS BLOOD, …”
