ENCOURAGEMENT

Seeing and reading something really encouraging has a tremendous effect on us. I experienced that this morning.

That’s why the synagogue rulers said to Paul and Barnabas: “Brothers, if you have a message of encouragement for the people, please speak. (Acts 13:15)

And Paul had a message of encouragement for the people. You can read the message in the Book of Acts. (Acts 13: 16-41)

At the end of the message Paul and Barnabas were invited to tell them more on the next Sabbath. Paul and Barnabas did tell them more of course and almost the whole city came to listen to Paul’s preaching of the word of God.

And what was the message of encouragement they had for the people? It was the message of salvation. (Acts 13:26)

SALVATION IS A BIG SUBJECT:

It includes The new Birth, Faith, Repentance, Forgiveness and more.

Let us also remember that Barnabas means Son of Encouragement (Acts 4:36) and that “encouraging” is a gift. You find that in Romans 12:8.

Since something encouraging has a tremendous effect on us, let us encourage each other, especially with the message of SALVATION!

“DO YOU NOT KNOW … ?”

At the beach.

In the First letter of Paul to the Corinthians we have 6 questions beginning with: “DO YOU NOT KNOW … “? The chapter deals with “Lawsuits Among Believers” and “Sexual Immorality.”

A.  “Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?”

B.  “Do you not know that we will judge angels?”

C.  “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?

D.  “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?”

E.  “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?”

F.  “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?”

What is my answer? What is your answer?
