We have been in Kaitaia for almost 13 years, but this year is the wettest so far. Our lawn has not been mowed for a long time.

An advertisement says:
“LIFE IS THE MOST AMAZING THING YOU OWN.”
The Bible says:
“DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT YOUR BODY IS A TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO IS IN YOU, WHOM YOU HAVE RECEIVED FROM GOD? YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN; YOU WERE BOUGHT AT A PRICE. THEREFORE HONOR GOD WITH YOUR BODY.” – First Corinthians 6:19,20
I think this is Brilliant.

NEWS
Whenever I am listening to the news on the radio, or seeing the news on TV, or reading the news in the papers, I am rejoicing that I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In our local paper I am reading at the present time a story I am really interested in. It is called, “More land lost to NZers.” (The Northland Age, Thursday, September 7, 2017.
For a child of God, (John 1:12 NIV), this world is not a permanent home. Followers of the Lord Jesus Christ are looking forward to a home yet to come. (Hebrews 13:14 NLT) The country I am looking forward to yet to come is called HEAVEN. And this is what the Bible says about the country called Heaven. “‘He [God] will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away.'” (Revelation 21:4 NIV)
We are hearing about alcohol, prisons and poverty on this earth. But there are no drunkards in Heaven, for no one drinks. There are no prisons and no one is poverty-stricken.
The country of Heaven is mine. I have already taken out my citizenship papers. Jesus Christ is the Lord of the country called Heaven.
Whenever I hear the news, especially that “‘The massive sell-off of valuable farmland to foreign buyers has got out of control …,'” I remember that I am a stranger and temporary resident and exile upon the earth.'” (Hebrews 11:13 The Amplified Bible) I am a sojourner. (Psalm 119:19 NIV)
