Helensville ist eine Stadt 50 km nordwestlich von Auckland (Rodney District).

Wellsford ist eine Stadt 19 km nordwestlich von Warkworth, auch im Rodney District.

Ich bin eigentlich schon lange in Neuseeland, aber ich bin erstaunt so viele Schafe auf einmal zu sehen.

Not long ago I picked up a “Connection Card” at one of our Churches.

On the small card are several boxes that can be ticked. “Information about becoming a Christian” is one of the boxes that can be ticked. I am especially interested in that box.

How do I become a Christian? How do I become a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ?

We go of course to the Scriptures for an answer and there it says in Acts 16:31:

“BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS AND YOU WILL BE SAVED – YOU AND YOUR HOUSEHOLD.” 

We must believe, we must trust, we must depend on God the Father, on God the Son and on God the Holy Spirit. We must believe in the triune God.

I TRUST IN GOD THE FATHER

and believe that he has chosen me before the foundation of the world. We find that in  Ephesians 1:4.

I TRUST IN GOD THE SON.

I trust in Him to take away my sins, to adorn me with His righteousness and to be my intercessor.

I TRUST IN GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.

I trust him to dwell in me. 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?”

“ON WHOM ARE YOU DEPENDING?” That is the question we find in Isaiah 36:5.

The sad thing is that many people have a connection with a church, but they are lacking the connection with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

World Mental Health Day, Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

New Zealand has a mental health crisis. What is the answer?

Help was not there. The right type of help was not available. They were not ‘bad enough’ to qualify for help.

That are the three things many people with mental health problems and addiction problems did say, when they needed help. (Mental health problems and addiction problems are closely related.)

I am reading that in the WAR CRY 07 October 2017.

We find the answer in the Scriptures, the Bible.

In Isaiah 58:9 we read:

“THEN YOU WILL CALL, AND THE LORD WILL ANSWER; …” 

(Psalm 91:15; Isaiah 65:24; Jeremiah 33:3)

HELP is promised by the LORD!

“GOTTES WORT FUER MICH”

“Gottes Wort fuer mich,” hiess das Thema der Absolvierungskonferenz der Bibelschule Brake, die im September 2017 war. Ich bin Absolvent der Bibelschule Brake (Oktober 1962 – September 1965) und deshalb weiss ich von der Konferenz.

Einer der Gastredner hatte auch “Gottes Wort fuer mich” als Thema.

Andere Themen waren wie folgt:

HIN ZUR BIBEL DRAENGT ES MICH.

Es war nicht immer so in meinem Leben. Die Bibel war fuer mich wie alle anderen Buecher. Aber dann kam der Tag fuer mich, an dem die Bibel fuer mich lebendig wurde und seitdem draengt es mich zum Wort Gottes. Das heisst nicht nur, die Bibel zu lesen, sondern auch da hinzugehen, wo das Wort Gottes gepredigt wird.

IN DER BIBEL ORIENTIERE ICH MICH.

In der Bibel finde ich auch meine Orientierung. Die Bible sagt naemlch, dass wir als Glaeubige nicht Unglaeubige heiraten sollen. Kennst Du auch Gotteskinder, die Unglaeubige geheiratet haben? Sie haben nie  2. Korinther 6:14 gelesen, wo es heisst, “Ziehet nicht am fremden Joch mit den Unglaeubigen.”

AUS DER BIBEL LEBE ICH.

Das Herz der Bible ist der Herr Jesus Chrstus. Als ich vor vielen Jahren zur Bibelschule Brake ging, hatten wir einen Missionslehrer, dessen Lieblingsvers der Bibel Philipper 1:21 war. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich damit verkehrt bin. In Philipper 1:21 heisst es, “Denn Christus ist mein Leben und Sterben ist mein Gewinn.”

VON DER BIBEL SPRECHE ICH.

Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, sagte man von dem bekannten Pfarrer Wilhelm Busch in Essen / Germany etwas wie dieses, “Er redet immer vom Herrn Jesus Christus.” Was sagt man von us?

Missionsarbeit in Thailand

Auf der Einladung zur Absolvierungskonferenz finde ich auch diesen Vers von der Bibel: “Denn Esra richtete sein Herz darauf, das Gesetz des Herrn zu erforschen und danach zu tun und die Gebote und Rechte in Israel zu lehren.” – Esra 7:10. Das ist im Alten Testament.

Das Wort Gottes, die Bibel, ist nicht nur fuer mich und fuer dich, sondern fuer alle Menschen. Deshalb bin ich auch als Missionar nach Thailand gegangen.
