TE AHU: Church Unlimited in Kaitaia.

45 people belonging to the Mission Team that is here in Kaitaia from Auckland at the present time to reach people with the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“Church Unlimited” is written on the back of their upper garments and on the front is the message:

“LOVE GOD

LOVE PEOPLE.”

They are divided into three groups. One group is working here in Kaitaia, another in Pukenui and the third group is working in Whatuwhiwhi.

“Love the world you live in,” encourages me a restaurant in Auckland I visited not long ago. It was written on the wall and I wrote it down.

It is my habit to read the devotional book MORNING AND EVENING by C. H. Spurgeon. There he writes today, Thursday, December 28, 2017:

“IF YOU FOLLOW CHRIST, YOU SHALL HAVE ALL THE DOGS OF THE WORLD YELPING AT YOUR HEALS.”

“IF YOU WANT TO LIVE SO AS TO STAND THE TEST OF THE LAST TRIBUNAL, DEPEND UPON IT, THE WORLD WILL NOT SPEAK WELL OF YOU.”

“HE WHO HAS THE FRIENDSHIP OF THE WORLD IS AN ENEMY TO GOD.”

The Bible says in First John 2:15: “DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD OR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD.”

Are we going to be obedient? That is the question.

Reading that not long ago, made me listen carefully. Why am I so interested in quietness?

Many, many years ago I read the verse in the Bible that says:

“‘IN REPENTANCE AND REST IS YOUR SALVATION, IN QUIETNESS  AND TRUST IS YOUR STRENGTH, …” – Isaiah 30:15

Being quiet is still a challenge for me!

So I have known for a long time that in order to be strong, I must be quiet; but now I am also told that I can hear more, the quieter I become.
