“CONDITIONS OF ENTRY”

“Conditions of Entry,” I read not long ago on the wall before entering the MITRE 10 Store here in Kaitaia properly.

That there are “conditions of entry” to many places is not surprising, and I am reminded of the “Condition of Entry” into heaven.

The “Condition of Entry” into heaven is trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. Personal trust in the Lord Jesus Christ is the faith that saves.

FAITH IS NECESSARY.

In Hebrews 11:6 we read, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because …”

THE PRINCIPLE OF FAITH.

How is business carried on? The answer is: It is carried on by the principle of faith and confidence in others. We are relying on what other people say.

What is now faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? It is putting confidence in Him. It is putting confidence in the Bible. It is resting on the word of the individual involved. It is resting on the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I don’t know of course what happens to the people  who don’t abide by the “Conditions of Entry” into MITRE 10, but I know that there are eternal consequences for those who do no trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“I NEVER FINISH ANYTHI “

At the Beach

“I never finish anythi  ,” I saw written on an upper garment today.

Have you ever started something and not finished it?

Reading that reminds me of a verse in the Bible. In Philippians 1:6 the apostle Paul is writing to the Philippians, “…, being confident of this, that he who began a good work  in  you will carry it on to completion until the day of  Christ Jesus.”

We start things and don’t finish them, but not God.

Do you know that the Lord Jesus Christ has begun “a good work in you”?

THE MESSAGE TODAY

“FORGIVEN”

Looking into a shop window today here in Kaitaia I saw this message written on a blackboard:

“GOD FORGAVE ME.

HE WASHED AWAY MY SIN.

HE CAN FORGIVE YOU.”

I understand the message and I hope that many will read the words and understand them.

CITIZENSHIP

Where is your citizenship?

This morning I attended part of a citizenship  ceremony at Te Ahu here in Kaitaia. Governor – General Dame Patsy Reddy presented the certificates.

KAITAIA: Te Ahu, library and more.

In Philippians 3:20 Paul writes to all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, …”
