FULLY COMMITTED HEARTS

HEARTS: Fully “committed”.

“OPEN 7 DAYS

5 am – late”

I am reading that while sitting in one of our restaurants here in Kaitaia while I am drinking my coffee.

Of course it is back to frontĀ  from the inside of the shop, but I have no trouble making out the meaning of the writing. I must have seen it many times and also read it many times, but today I am really thinking about the notice.

The word “committed” comes to my mind, and what a beautiful illustration we have here about being “committed”.

Looking up the word “committed” in the Collins English Dictionary I am learning that “committed” means “having pledged oneself to a particular belief or course of action”.

I am a Christian, and actually from the time when I became born again the verse in the Bible that says:

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him”,

has been special to me. Lately I haveĀ  even committed the verse to memory. With other words I have memorized Second Chronicles 16:9.

Please take time and read the story of “Asa’s last days” in chapter 16 of Second Chronicles in the Bible. His heart was not fully committed to the Lord.

Think again about how committed the owner of the restaurant where I had my coffee today is.

“OPEN 7 DAYS

5 am – late”

Notice especially the word “late”. No closing time is given. What an illustration.
