WHAT A CHALLENGE

FLAX: In Maori it is called Harakeke.

I am reading that the 86 year old lady is praying three things:

Firstly she is praying that God will work in her.

Secondly she is praying that God will work through her.

Thirdly she is praying that God will work in the lives of the people she meets.

She is praying that every day!

Are you also challenged?

MOTHER’S DAY

MOTHER’S DAY 2018: Sunday, May 13, 2018

“Who takes a child by the hand, takes the mother by the heart,” is a Danish Proverb.

During our time in Kaikohe as missionaries (United Maori Mission), we had Sunday School at several places.

One of the places was in the town itself in the Senior Citizens’ Hall, which we hired for our meetings.

If  I remember correctly, we had the Sunday School before the Church Service. For the last meeting before Christmas we had a celebration; the parents were invited and we had a meal together.

At that time I did not know the Danish Proverb, but I experienced how thankful parents are, when you do something good for their children. Can you think of anything better than teaching the Word of God to children?

THE HEART: Does your heart feel cold and dead?

“Think about this: Even if your heart should feel cold and dead, the Word of God will bring about the kind of outlook He has promised in His Word.” – Andrew Murray
