EDUCATION PROVIDERS INFORMATION STALLS
VENUE: Old Pac ‘n’ Save Carpark, Kaitaia, in the middle of town so to speak.
Today I attended the 2018 spring flower service at the Hope Christian Centre at 11am here in Kaitaia.
I have always liked to read books.
The book I am reading now is called “GREAT CHURCH FIGHTS”.
I only wish that I would remember more of what I read.
So far as I can see every Sunday has a verse from the Bible.
It is the ALMANAC DIARY CALENDAR”, the “EASY TO SEE CALENDAR” 2018.” (EsE-2c)
The Verse from the Bible for coming Sunday, September 9, 2018 is:
James 4:7 “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
“THE TWO KINGS, WITH THEIR HEARTS BENT ON EVIL, WILL SIT AT THE SAME TABLE AND LIE TO EACH OTHER, BUT TO NO AVAIL, BECAUSE AN END WILL STILL COME AT THE APPOINTED TIME.” – Daniel 11:27
At the present time we are reading about “being kind to the environment” and that “our environment is going to love us for it”.
I am glad that there are more and more people waking up to the fact that we are stewards.
In the near future single-use plastic bags will not be available any more at supermarkets and many other stores here in New Zealand. At the present time some supermarkets in New Zealand test-driving reusables.
Therefore let us buy reusable bags and not forget to carry the bags always with us. We never know when we might need them.
What is a steward?
A steward manages the property of someone else. A steward is accountable.
The Bible teaches that the earth belongs to God and that we are God’s stewards.
At one stage this afternoon I was not going into town for my coffee.
It is cold here in New Zealand in winter; it is raining, the sun is shining, it is raining again, and then we have rain and sunshine at the same time.
My raincoat is always in one of my pockets, but today I started to wear it before I left the house. Entering the Main Street, and walking along the street for a bit I heard singing. It is not unusual that people are busking on Commerce Street. But coming nearer to the singing today and wondering what it is all about I noticed a young lady there singing and she had a Bible placed in front of her.
Seeing the Bible, I stopped and we had a really good conversation.
What an encouragement for me to hear her singing on a day like this, praising the Lord Jesus Christ with a loud voice.
Am I glad that I made my way to the coffee shop today. And do you know what I noticed on my way back, when I almost arrived at our place, all the time I was walking outside, it did not even rain. With other words there was no need to wear my raincoat.
“OBEY” was written on what the person had on his head.
It looked to me like a beanie. For those who don’t know a beanie is a close-fitting woolen hat.
And I am still thinking about the message “OBEY” on the beanie.
Once the Lord Jesus Christ was asked which the greatest commend in the law is? And what was the answer of the Lord Jesus Christ? He answered that the greatest command is to:
“LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”
You find the answer in Matthew 22:37. Let us also remember that that are the greatest words ever spoken.
Have you ever asked yourself what it means to love the Lord Jesus Christ?
In John 14:15 it says:
“IF YOU LOVE ME, YOU WILL OBEY WHAT I COMMAND.” Read also John 14:21; John 14:23-24 and John 15:10.
To love the Lord Jesus Christ means to obey his commandments.
We find his commandments in the BIBLE. That’s why it is so important to read the “Book of Books”. Please read especially “The Great Commission” at the end of Matthew 28.
