Are you seeking happiness?
Please remember that happiness is a by-product.
We must focus on something else.
Where do the seeds of happiness grow most strongly? The answer to that question is: The seeds of happiness grow most strongly in the soil of SERVICE!
Have you ever watched people who are doing things for others, washing or sowing? I have heard them singing while they are busy for others. They are really happy and it is a joy to live together with them.
Listen to what the Bible says in Proverbs 11:25:
“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
I really like the quote by Martin Luther King JR.:
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'”
(You can see the quote on the wall when entering the premises of the Salvation Army here in Kaitaia in Commerce Street.)
If you are seeking happiness you will miss it.
