“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” – Proverbs 11:25

“Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown.” – Numbers 22:31
“A Must Read”
The notes are taken from one of the Age Concern Kaitaia & District Incorporated newsletters.
“A Must Read,” I am reading at the top of a sheet of paper, which is lying on our coffee table this morning and I am interested to read on. “Selenium – absolutely vital for your health,” is the article called that follows.
I never get tired of reminding myself and others that there is not only physical health, but that there is also spiritual health.
Right at the beginning of the article I am told that Selenium is “lacking in most New Zealand soils.” And I am surprised how many roles Selenium has in protecting our physical health.
Here are three:
- “Helps our daily mood remain positive and cheerful.”
- “Helps rid our body of toxic minerals, especially mercury.”
- “Helps maintain pain free muscles.”
“A Must Read,” for me is the Bible, The Word of God. Our knowledge of God is found in the Bible. The Bible guides us to everlasting life.
Reading the Bible is absolutely vital for our spiritual health. I think also that our spiritual health is more important than our physical health.
