THERE ARE MANY MESSAGES

We are hearing and reading many messages. Here are two.

The first message I noticed in Auckland, while I was there over Christmas:

“love the world you live in,” is written in fancy letters on the wall in a restaurant in New Lynn / Auckland.

The second message I have known for a long time:

Having read the Bible for many years I remember what it says in 1 John 2:15.

There we read: “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

We notice the diametric opposition of the two messages.

What is your response? What is your decision?

I do what the Bible says. Why? Because it says in Matthew 24:35: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

“So all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work and said to Moses, ‘The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done.'” – Exodus 36:4

RELATIONSHIPS

There are successful relationships and there are relationships which are not successful.

SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS

Generous people have a successful relationship. They are not selfish. And that are the people who are content.

UNSUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS

In an unsuccessful relationship people are selfish. They are not generous. They become failures. And eventually they feel very lonely.

We can choose to be content or to be lonely.
