I read this story in a letter from Germany:

The monkey of a zoo died. But the owner of the zoo knew exactly what to do. He got hold of a monkey suit and one of his workers played the monkey. The visitors of the  zoo were so enamoured with the monkey that the monkey got also very excited about his performance. The day came when he jumped really around all over the place and…………fell into the cage of the lion.

He feared for his life and when he yelled, “Help! Help!” he heard a quiet voice beside him. “If you don’t shut up straight away, we are both losing our jobs.”
