“Hugs not Thugs”

“Hugs not Thugs” was the theme of theĀ  “whanau day out” (gathering) today at the Kaitaia swimming pools with lots of activities including Ki-O-Rahi. That’s what I was told by the lady I met in front of the gates of the pools, where the place was prepared to play the Maori game Ki-O-Rahi (she told me that she taught Ki-O-Rahi in Germany while on a tour) when I asked her what the summary of the opening speech was. (I did not hear the opening speech.)

“Hugs not Thugs.”

It was a joy to tell her about my Saviour Jesus Christ. Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ (Messiah) the LORD.”

But my joy was even greater when I entered the gates of the pools – free entrance today- and I saw the wife of one of my friends. I invited the whole family of five to the local Baptist Church for a FREE concert and a meal. So far about eleven people said that they would come to the concert and the meal. Praise the LORD!
