“MAKING A DIFFERENCE”

This morning I had a conversation with a young man from the south of  England here in Kaitaia on Commerce Street. His passion is GREENPEACE. I told him that my passion is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and telling others what He has done for me.

On the GREENPEACE folder with images he showed me was written: “YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.”

“MAKING A DIFFERNCE.”

I have here a flyer on “SUSTAINABLE LIVING IN NEW ZEALAND”, teaching us “Practical ways to make a world of difference”. Examples of how one can do the right thing are given: “Reuse shopping bags”. “Learn more about sustainable lifestyles”. In many regions of New Zealand are Sustainable Living Courses being run.

On the front page of the first edition of the Vodafone community newsletter (Spring 2010) is also written “MAKE A DIFFERENCE”. Get hold of the newletter and read it! One of the Vodafone Foundation Grant recipients 2010 is also the Salvation Army (2010-2012).

With great interest I read the article called “MAKING  A DIFFERENCE” in the January 2010 Reader’s Digest. The article tells the story of  “The Graffiti Buster”.

At the end of the story the question is asked:  “Do you know someone who is making a difference to the community? Let us know.”

Reader’s Digest is looking for people who are making a difference to the community.

Are you making a difference?

I think we can make the greatest difference by telling people about the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why I told the GREENPEACE man about the Lord!

The Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 9:37,38:

“THEN HE SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES, ‘THE HARVEST IS PLENTYFUL BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW. ASK THE LORD OF THE HARVEST, THEREFORE, TO SEND OUT WORKERS INTO HIS HARVEST FIELD.'”
