“A Resting Place not to be Missed!”

I am not really surprised that I am reading “a resting place not to be missed” in “Discover the Top of the South” (Autumn 2011 and FREE). “Top of the South” is the north of the South Island of the beautiful country New Zealand.

The place “not to be missed”  is Murchison’s Kiwi Park Motels  & Holiday Park. The place is rural, 6ha, peaceful and secluded. The place has also fantastic beds. Murchison is a township of around eighthundred people.

Are you looking for a place to rest? I think all of us are looking for a resting place.

Can I  tell you please about “a resting place not to be missed?” Can I please tell you about my resting place?

Many before me have discovered the resting place I am talking about. David in the Bible was one of them.

In Psalm 62 he says that his soul finds rest in God alone. (Psalm 62:1) In the same Psalm in verse five it seems that he is talking to his soul and encouraging his soul to find rest in God alone!

God is our resting place. God is my resting place. Where do you find rest?

In Psalm 62 David says also that his salvation comes from God and that God is his rock alone and his fortress. And his own words are “I will never be shaken.” ( Psalm 62:2)

David belongs to the people of God. And this is what the Bible says about the people of God: The dwelling places of the people of God will be peaceful. The people of God will live in secure homes. The people of God will live in undisturbed places of rest.

Do you belong to the people of God?
