International Women’s Day is all about recognizing. We recognize the progress of women’s rights.
Recognizing things is very important.
I have a book by Eugene Price in my library about women. In the book she recognizes the “mysterious influence” women have “over the lives their lives touch.”
On 8 March, International Women’s Day, we recognize the progress of women’s rights. There are rights socially. There are rights economically. There are rights when it comes to political matters.
In her book WOMAN TO WOMAN Eugene Price recognizes that “God created into woman particular power to influence.”
She writes:
“Women scar hearts and souls. God did not give us this power to influence without reason. But it is certain that He gave it to us. Not to use as Eve used hers over Adam. This was the very moment sin entered into the world and infected all human nature. And we are being unrealistic and hiding behind the long touted and utterly false ‘weak little women’ theory when we refuse to admit that sin entered the world through a woman; when we refuse to admit that it invaded the human race through the influence of a woman.”
And please remember that a woman is writing this.
I still remember that I picked up the book WOMAN TO WOMAN by Eugene Price second hand many years ago in Orewa on my way from Auckland to Kaikohe.
