“Good Morning …”

"Good Morning ... Let the Stress begin"

“Good Morning …
Let The Stress Begin ….”

“Good Morning …

Let The Stress Begin ……”

Reading that is not very helpful. We need encouragement.

And I am encouraged reading just now in our newspaper: “Just waking up is a highlight.” (Northern News, November 12, 2014)

The feature in the newspaper is called “Look who’s talking!” People from the community are interviewed and asked questions like “What is you favourite eatery?” and “Your highlight of the week?”

“I have a highlight every day, just waking up is enough,” and “… every day is a highlight,” is the answer of a man.

It is not very often that we find such encouragement in the paper.

If we really want to be encouraged, we must read the Bible. The Bible tells us that “This is the day the LORD has made,” and tells us to “rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24)

Do you know the hymn:

“This is the day, this is the day. That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice, and be glad in it, and be glad in it.”

There is also a hymn in German that starts with “This is the day, that the Lord has made, …” by Christian Fuerchtegott Gellert, who lived from 1715-1769.

This is the first verse of the hymn: “Dies ist der Tag, den Gott gemacht, sein werd in aller Welt gedacht; ihn preise was durch Jesum Christ im Himmel und auf Erden ist.”

But let us not only sing those hymns, let us really rejoice and let us be really glad – every day.

What do you say, “Good Morning …. Let The Stress Begin ….” or “Good Morning …. a highlight.”
