“Had Water Today?”

"Had Water Today?"

“Had Water Today?”

“Had Water Today?”

Especially thirsty people appreciate a question like that. They are looking for a place where water is available.

Reading that question people who know what the Bible teaches remember straight away the invitation to the thirsty in the prophet Isaiah, where it says at the beginning of chapter fifty five, “‘Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters.,”

In the Gospel of John the Lord Jesus Christ invites the thirsty with a loud voice and says,”‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.'” (John 7:37)

Are you thirsty?

One of the Psalmists was really thirsty and he cried out, “As the deer pants for the streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” (Psalm 42:1,2)

Another Psalmist experienced that the LORD “satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” (Psalm 107:9)

I have experienced that the LORD “satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

But I must not forget to answer the question at the beginning, “Had Water today?” Yes, I had my water today, I had a bottle of pump Water.

In the Gospel of John, chapter four, the Lord Jesus Christ is talking with the Samaritan woman and he says:

“‘Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.'” (John 4:13,14)
