“Connect for less this Christmas,” I am reading on the front page of The Warehouse mailer, I picked up today.

On the front page you can also see the pictures of four mobile phones.

I am sure it is all about connecting with family and friends this Christmas.

“Jesus is the reason for the season”

At Christmas time some years ago on our way from Auckland to Kaikohe we had a break of the journey in Whangarei and when asking someone at the car park about the meaning of Christmas the answer was meeting with family and friends.

Of course, the connection with family and friends at Christmas time is important and we should make the most of it.

But there is one connection which is more important than any other connection and that is our connection with God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If you don’t have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as yet, ask him to open your heart this Christmas.

This afternoon I saw written on the window of a church building:

“JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.”

AND SALVATION IS FREE!
