“DO ONE THING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY EVERY DAY,” said the placard I saw in a shop at MANGONUI today. Some things we do make us happy and some things we do make us unhappy.
Today I did one thing that made me really unhappy and one thing that made me really happy. Let me tell you about it.
For lunch I bought some dry buns, because I felt like eating buns. There were three in the packet. Not much of the third bun was left in my hand, when a dog was after me wanting what was left. Although the owner of the dog yelled at the dog, the dog did not listen. Eventually I threw the remains of the precious bun to the dog. The owner of the pet was very apologetic. All that made me very unhappy.
But I did also one thing today that made me very happy. Two people, one standing and one sitting on a chair, were on the wharf at Mangonui fishing. When talking to them, I told them also what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for me. We had quite a long conversation.
But I don’t think I do deliberately things that make me unhappy.
