NOT VALID

The brochure I am holding in my hands tells me all about the “Best of the Bay of Islands cruises and tours.” I am especially interested in the supercruise:

“The Original ‘Cream Trip’ Supercruise

Includes ‘Hole in the Rock.'”

Yesterday we did not only cruise to the hole in rock, bjt we cruised through it

Yesterday we did not only cruise to the hole in rock, but we cruised through it

But is the brochure still valid? comes to my mind all of a sudden.

When I read “Valid 01 October 2005 to 30 September 2006”, I am almost losing interest to continue to read … but not quite. I am obviously very much interested to go on a supercruise. (No need to tell you that the information in the brochure is many years out of date.)

But I continue to read, “If you want to see all the highlights of the magnificent Bay of Islands in one day then this is the cruise for you. On board our state of the art cruising catamaran ‘Tangaroa III’, you’ll do ‘The Original Cream Trip’, take in the awesome ‘Hole in the Rock’ and go ashore to explore one of the most beautiful islands in the Bay.”

The information in the brochure is in fact eight years out of date.

I am reminded of the Bible, the Word of God. The Bible is never out of date and valid for all eternity.

The promises of the Bible never change. Here is one of the promises I really like. You find the promise in First Corinthians 3:11, and I have memorized that promise:

“FOR NO ONE CAN LAY ANY FOUNDATION OTHER THAN THE ONE ALREADY LAID, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST.”
